Cruises Shut Down
I am a Disneyite who is trapped in a major crisis. The crisis is the same one we are all in which is the Coronavirus. I can’t do the regular things that I would be able to do if it were not for COVID-19. For example, I had planned to go on a Disney Cruise in the not so far off timeframe. But the Disney Cruise and other cruises had been shut down.
Experiences Expunged
I wanted to go to Disneyworld, but that too had been closed. Oh how I yearned to see the Disney castle in person with its fireworks. No go. The experiential offering had also been closed.
The Last Resort (Pun Intended)
So what was I to do with no Mickey? I did what any Disney fan would do in my situation which was to record my sadness over not being able to be close to my dream. My salvation? The writing of this post in honor of cruises and theme parks that had lifted my spirits in the past. Writing what you are reading right now somehow makes me feel just a little bit more close to Walt.
